Current Projects

  • Administrative support for the Supreme Court Commission on Mental Health & Competency, including the launch of Competency Diversion Pilot projects in four pilot sites
  • Production of Mental Health Minute videos for easily digestible information regarding behavioral health topics and potential resources
  • Launch the Forensic Certified Peer Support Worker pilot project in two judicial districts
  • Supporting the continued work and progress of the countries involved in the 2022 Behavioral Health Summit

Past Achievements

  • Successfully replaced antiquated language of Mental Retardation “MR” with Developmental and Intellectual Disabilities across state statutes to be more in line with person centered language
  • Developed Diversity, Equity & Inclusion standards for all Behavioral Health supported projects
  • Launched the Community Reinforcement and Family Training (CRAFT) Pilot project in the 11th Judicial District
  • Selected for ongoing SAMHSA technical assistance to support improvements in competency resources in the state
  • Selected for SAMHSA sponsored Competency Policy Academy – Resulted in development of discussion draft amendment to criminal competency statute as well as development of competency diversion pilot projects
